Thank you to those who have organised and sponsored Indigenous surfing events over the past decades.
Bells Beach is a spiritual home where we don’t walk alone, WE WALK TOGETHER.

Congratulations to all of Royal Indigenous Surfing ambassadors who came to Bells Beach for this year’s event.  Standout performances by some of the Royals team saw them take out places in this year’s national titles:

Meg Day (3rd Open Women)

Mali Legge (2nd Womens Longboard)

Anthony Hume (3rd Masters Men)

 Rylee Duell (4th Junior Boys).

Bells Beach 2024

We extend our sincere gratitude to Phil Stammers and his company, Flxiwear, both for their current support and their commitment to future sponsorship of the 2024 Australian Indigenous Surfing Titles at Bells Beach. Without the generous assistance of individuals like Phil, Royal Indigenous Surfing wouldn't be what it is today.

Also a shout out to Hoponit Design for printing and to Cream Surfing for support throughout the year.

Hawaii 2024

Hawaii is a very special place for Robbie Page, spiritually and in his surfing career. In 1986, Robbie was awarded the Rookie of the Triple Crown, establishing his position as the highest trialist that year. Two years later, on the north shore of Oahu, Robbie won the Pipeline Masters. He returned to Hawaii this year to reconnect with the place that gave him so much.

Royal Indigenous Surfing Co is Robbie’s dream for an inclusive indigenous surfing brand. The dreaming for the brand started in Hawaii, with the Royal Hawaiian Canoe Club serving as the original source of inspiration. Robbie was impressed with the respect for culture in Hawaii and decided it was time to present to the world the story of Australia’s indigenous water men and women. His 2024 trip was both a homecoming and the source of renewed inspiration for indigenous surfing.
